Watersports
 Corofin is only a short drive from the beaches of North Clare.
The beaches at Fanore and Bishop's quarter are set in quiet countryside and are wonderful if you like a quiet relaxing retreat.
The beach at Lahinch is 15/20 minutes drive from Corofin and offers safe swimming with a lifeguard on duty during the Summer months. Lahinch is also renowned for having ideal conditions for surfing. The number of surfboards visible there each day illustrate this. Surf lessons are available at the surf school on the seafront. Surf lessons are also available in Fanore, further up the coast at Aloha Surf school.
On the seafront at Lahinch is Lahinch Seaworld. This is a magical place especially loved by children, but with much to offer the grown-ups too. For more information check out The Lahinch Seaworld Website
Other beaches can be found a little further down the coast such as Spanish Point and White Strand. |
