A variety of activities and entertainment will make your holiday a time to remember. There is the East Clare Golf Club near the village of Feakle which offers on 150 acres a 18-hole-course, all facilities and the promise to pay as you play“ for reasonable green fees. Or the East Clare Equestrian Centre in nearby Scarriff with a wide range of equestrian sports. Fishing is another favourite pastime in the area as is walking or cycling in the Slieve Aughty and Slieve Beamagh Mountains or along the East Clare Way. One of Ireland's largest lakes, Lough Derg
is just 15 minutes away, providing all kinds of water sport facilities, including cruising, windsurfing, sail boarding, canoeing and game and coarse angling. The area boasts with a number of places of historical interest to explore - the Brian Boru Historical Centre in Scariff, Ireland's oldest church in Tuamgraney, the well preserved Quin Abbey and the Craggaunowen award winning Prehistoric Park, to name just a few.
