Take a swim at Seamus Heaney's flaggy shore in New Quay, made famous by his poem “Postscript” (see box to the right), walk on one of the Burren's "Green Roads" or tour the region by bicycle. Investigate the rock pools at low tide or watch the Galway Hookers sailing in the Bay. The area is bursting with wildlife and rare flowers to explore.
