Doolin
Doolin or 'Fisher Street' as it was known is a great fishing village. It has long been associated with great Irish music sessions, and was home to a great traditional Irish whistle player, the late Micko Russell. The Aran Islands are located just off Doolin and offer a true Irish experience in a setting of Celtic churches of historical significance including World Heritage site Dun Aonghasa which is set on dramatic 300 ft cliff edge. Ferries to the Aran Islands depart from the new pier.
